Python Belgrade, V 2.0.

We know, we know – we’ve been away for a while and you’ve been wondering what we were up to. The answer is, in fact, quite comprehensive. Firstly, Python Belgrade got a completely new venue, the large open space @ Kortechs company (our co-founder’s startup), right on the Republic Square. We also got some decently responsible new people to organize and host the events, so from now on, you can expect monthly meetups and larger bi-monthly events, indeed.

As you can see, we have also just launched our brand new website, where you can get all the information you need, whether you are a prospective lecturer, a potential partner, or an enthusiastic Pythos with interest in what our events will be about. Furthermore, we have been working hard on providing more value for our attendees by attracting guest speakers from large, international companies, researching the most popular topics regarding Python, and negotiating deals with various partners who will help us host bigger events in the near future.

Our inaugural meetup for 2017 will be held on Friday, Feb 24, and will feature Mr. Jozef Kepesi, CTO of Kiwi.com, who will hold a lecture on big data in cloud with Hive & Presto. Jozef will be joined by Bojan Jovanović, Python Belgrade co-founder and Kortechs CEO, who will speak about distributed systems. Our third and final lecturer will be Mr. Milan Stanojević, team lead at Tradecore, a global fintech startup.

There will be lots of cake and drinks on us, and after the event, our friends from Silicon Drinkabout will transfer the party to Anker Bar, where some more drinks will be waiting for you – we have many reasons to celebrate. Come join us and make sure to subscribe to our newsletter for all the latest information on our events and the latest Python-related news!
